The Universal Paper Guide (UPG) has the ability to have its optical sensors changed from Adjustable to Reverse Adjustable configuration.

 

  • ADJ4, ADJW & ADJ2 paper path = optos on the Adjustable side (on the left-hand side of the printer facing where the ticket is fed into the printer)
     
  • RADJ4 or RADJW paper path = optos on the Reverse Adjustable side (on the right-hand side of the printer facing where the ticket is fed into the printer)
     

 

 

The following must to be done with the printer powered off and disconnected from the AC power source.

 

  1. Slide the yellow dot SQ load opto back to the larger takeout opening in the rail. Once the opto gets to this opening it should easily come out.


  2. Slide the cut/tear opto down to the larger takeout opening in the rail. Once the opto gets to this opening it should easily come out.


  3. Move the cut/tear opto to the opposite rail and insert it into the large opening. Once in, slide it towards the rear of the rear of the printer.

  4. Move the yellow dot SQ load opto to the opposite rail and insert it into the large opening. Once in, slide it fully forward toward where the tickets exit the printer.

  5. The cut/tear SQ opto may be moved forward or backwards via its slider tab to achieve the correct cut position.
