On a printer with a cutter unit installed the cutter cannot be switched off to act as a printer without a cutter. It is not possible to manually tear-off a ticket in a printer with a cutter.

If you want to change the behavior of the cutter unit you can use the following options in the FGL printer driver:

In the advanced printer properties at printer features > output bin you can select:

Normal mode
print, feed to cutting position and cut  (Default)
Cut last ticket of job only
Will print multiple tickets of a single print job and cut at the end of the job.

Note: The print job send to the printer must contain multiple pages. Multiple, single page jobs will be cut at each ticket.

Disable cutter

print, ticket stays at the print head and is not cut

Note: not recommended for normal use, only for testing purposes

On printers without a cutter the same driver setting can be used can be used without any problems although it doesn’t add any functionality to the user.

In the advanced printer properties at printer features > output bin you can select:

Normal mode
print, feed to tear-off position  (Default)
Cut last ticket of job only
Will print multiple tickets of a single print job and feed the last ticket to the tear-off position.
Disable cutter

print, ticket stays at the print head and cannot be torn off

Note: not recommended for normal use, only for testing purposes

This means that printer with or without a cutter unit can be mixed without the need of changing the print commands.
