This setting defines the type of cutter the printer has installed.
The options are:
| SILENT | This is the old Silent Cutter assembly used on old Ghostwriter models |
| BOCA | Improved, stepper motor driven cutter assembly use on Lemur modles and the later Ghostwriter models. |
This feature is set at the factory and should not be changed.
Using the control panel
- Depress both the MENU and CHOICES buttons while turning on the printer. Keep both buttons depressed until "FACTORY MENU" appears in the LCD window or the display starts scrolling through different topics.
- Using the MENU button scroll down to the "CUTTER TYPE?" topic.
- Using the CHOICES button select "BOCA" or "SILENT". Once you have done this press the TEST button. The printer will reset at this time.
If you need to change the cutter type on a printer without a display you can send a command to the printer via the interface. You may use the Boca configuration and test tool from our website, in this program you can use the “Send text” option to send one of the following commands in ASCII format.
