During shipment of your printer there is a possibility that the guillotine cutter knife became trapped under the stationary cutter blade. This will cause the printer to go into a “Cutter Failure” error. Please follow the enclosed steps to correct this problem.
The following must be done with the printer powered off and unplugged from the AC Source.
- Make sure power is off and the AC cord is disconnected from the printer.
- You will need to take the locking side access cover off the printer so you have easy access to the inside of the printer.
- Using a pen or pencil gently push the guillotine blade toward the front of the printer to un-trap it from under the stationary cutter blade. (See photo below)
- Plug the AC cord back into the printer and see if it powers up properly?
