Boca has developed two programs that allow customer to test the printer. One operates over USB/HID & Ethernet interfaces and the other if a print driver is used.
For Mac use with printer drivers - This customer program is used with print drivers or USB connection.
For Mac use without printer driver - This customer program is used with USB/HID & Ethernet interfaces.
You may download load the program that fits your needs from our BOCA Printer configuration & test programs page.
To use these programs you will need to download the zip file to your Apple/Mac based host computer. The following steps will guide you through opening the program once it has been downloaded.
- The zip file you selected will be downloaded to the blue download folder on your taskbar. That is near the trashcan.
- Click on the blue folder and then click on Open in Finder icon.
- Finder will open up the download folder, double click on the zip file to open it. For Mac use without print driver, this will be boca_customer_mac. For Mac use with print drivers, this will be boca_customer_driver_mac.
- Control - click on the app icon, this will either be
orThen choose Open from the shortcut menu. - When the popup box shows up, click on Open. The program should upon up at this time.
- If for some reason you are not able to open the program, then you may be dealing with Privacy Accessibility restrictions. Please see the next section.

There is a possibility that you MAC may not run the program due to Privacy Accessibility restrictions.
The below reviews how to change these settings.
- Click on the System Preferences icon that is located on your taskbar.
- Click on Security & Privacy icon
- When the Security & Privacy menu comes up, click on lock icon to unlock it to make the necessary changes. Accessibility and then click on the + button.
- Enter in the appropriate Name and Password, click on Unlock button.
- The Security & Privacy menu will now show the unlocked icon. Click on the + button.
- When the Finder menu popup comes up, click on Downloads to highlight it and then click on boca_customer_driver_mac (will be shown if you downloaded the driver version of the program) or boca_customer_mac (will be shown if you downloaded the interface version of the program)
Your Finder page may be different than what is shown in the above image - Scroll down on the second field and on the app icon, this will either be cust_driver_mac (if you downloaded the driver version of the program) or customer_mac (if you downloaded the interface version of the program).
